No mood for Russian today... I told Jenni today what I think about Germany.... In my head it appears to be a very strange America. It's fairly clean, but definitely not everywhere, people try to smile and be polite, but they can't compete with Americans, more people smoke, and they ALL speak a very weird language.. Anyways... I'm in a strange place...
First day off.. In the morning/noon the family showed me the town, and were very kind to buy a phone card for me.. but the fun started in the afternoon... I got three magic keys.. a key to the house (which is not that magic at all), a key to the garage, and a key to the bike lock..... So I went on an adventure to find the church I'll attend while here. It's in a different part of the town. I had the address and very confusing directions. But that made things even better! The sun was shining, it was pretty warm, I had my bagpack with a snickers bar from my host mom and finally some adventures... so it took me over two hours of roaming around.... And you know what?? About three times I asked for directions... Man, it made me so unexpectedly excited that the first two times I forgot the name of the street I wanted to get to... The aftergiggles reminded me of Jenni :) so the two hours of riding around were very rewarding.... Near the church stood a whole bunch of guys who were great, we talked, I was given a tour of the church and invited to all the possible events... So yeah, everything is cool for now...
Even though when I got home I called my mom and my aunt... My mom is now taking some sedatives, and she seemed to be doing ok.... My aunt not so... She cried and it's not common for her... She lives by herself and she doesn't have any kids. So my brother and I were all she had. And she is mourning... So if you remember please pray for my relatives who don't have any hope, who don't know where my brother is and who don't know the God that my brother and I know.
So it's really good that I get distracted during the day, but the nights are still not very cool. But God is good all the time, and it's better to believe it..
